The best way to go from Bangkok to Chiang Mai for digital nomads
If you are looking for the best way to go from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, look no further this is it !
The Air Con day train is slightly more “expensive” than the bus but it is really worth it.
Meals are included, the scenery is great, it’s definitely less bumpy and you can manage to find plugs so you can get some work done. I even had the time to edit my the previous webisode in this train : TUK-TUK FURY ROAD.
It costs about 700 bahts (18 € / 23 $) if you buy your ticket through an agency. There is unfortunately no official Thai Railway website to this date, so agencies are ok considering they charge you about 100 bahts for this service (so you don’t have to go buy it to the main train station yourself).
We took the Train #7 that leaves from Bangkok Railway Station. It leaves at 08:30 AM and arrives at 07:30 PM.
